About SeMiSo
Jean Monnet Chair ‘Security, Migration and Society in Europe’ co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union will be conducted at Altinbas University from 2019 to 2022. Its aims are three-fold: First, it aims to deepen teaching in European Union studies at Altinbas University both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels; second it promotes excellence in research on European studies by established scholars as well as by a young generation of researchers; and finally SeMiSo aims to conduct outreach activities to enhance knowledge about the European Union to the wider society including school pupils, young professionals, members of NGOs, policy-makers, stakeholders at local and regional level, and citizens interested in the issues of migration, security, cultural diversity, and active citizenship.
